“LEADING WITH A VISION FOR THE FUTURE”
OBJECTIVE:
To provide the student leaders in with the necessary information needed to develop a powerful vision for the future. This vision will be based on developing a solid understanding of one’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as, recognizing individual’s attitudes towards dealing with change and using available resources.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator-MBTI
The most widely use personal development assessment tool in the world. Student will learn about their personality type and how that can help them maximize their potential. This session will require participants to take an on-line 72 question inventory prior to arriving to the training session. We will provide you with the link and instructions on how to complete the survey. Approximate duration: two and a half hours.
Who Am I? Understanding yourself: get a PhD on YOU
Ever wonder what it is that you don’t know about yourself? In this session students will be ask to identify ways in which they gather information about themselves. Students will examine the impact of first impressions and how those impressions are often wrong. Approximate duration: one hour.
“Who Moved My Cheese”: How do you deal with change?
Based on the book by Spencer Johnson, students will examine their own personal attitudes regarding “CHANGE” and how that influences the way they make decisions.
Aproximate duration: one hour.
Effective Teamwork Strategies: How to get things done - Working with others.
Understanding what teamwork is all about means knowing how people behave in problem solving situations. Students will learn the basic process used to get things done and will be introduce to the concept and value of feedback. This session will teach students what to look for and how to address team development situations. Approximate duration: one hour.
"Developing A Powerful Vision”
How do you want to be remembered? What type of impact do you wish to have in this world? What do you want your campus to look like after you graduate? Successful leaders are not afraid to consider these questions. Great leaders find answers for them. In this session students will be challenge to develop a legacy based on a powerful vision of their future. Approximate duration: one hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Participants will be asked to define the type of "Legacy" they want to leave behind.
2. Participants will list the things they want to accomplish in their lives.
3. Participants will begin to develop their personal "Mission Statement".
“Where Did My Time Go?”
What determines the way we prioritize? Can we re-invent ourselves enough in order to make the “main thing remain the main thing”? Learn how your values determine what you decide to do, and more important, what you put off.
Approximate duration: one hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Participants will re-define what a "Priority" is.
2. Participants will recognize the importance values have over the way one prioritizes.
3. Participants will learn a new definition of what a "Value" is.
“The Circle of Life”: The greatest secret possessed by the most successful leaders.
In this session students will examine their attitudes towards asking for help. This is the biggest challenge leaders have to overcome and have the hardest time understanding. I believe this exercise will be a nice conclusion to your program and will drive home the concept of using your available resources. Approximate duration: one hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
1.Participants will learn how their personal attitudes can get in the way of their success.
2.Participants will learn to identify their resources.
3.Participants will understand the power of paradigm shifting.
“The Value of Trust”
Successful leaders are trustworthy leaders. They promote high trust in their organizations. Students will be introduced to the concept of trust as an essential characteristic of a successful organization. Approximate duration: one hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Participants will define the meaning of "Trust".
2. Participants will experience what is like to have to "Trust" a complete stranger.
3. Participants will compare their pre and post session definition of "Trust".

What is it like to do what you “LOVE” to do for a living? Getting paid to “PLAY”? Most of us never even consider the fact that we are capable of enjoying what we do for a living. In this session, students will be challenged to examine their own lives, and their own sense of purpose. Approximate duration: one hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Participants will identify their interests.
2. Participants will examine what they want to do with their lives.
3. Participants will recognize the things that are important regarding finding their purpose in life.
Situational Leadership
Based on the concept developed by Ken Blanchard (author of “The One Minute Manager” and “Whale Done”), this session will introduce students to the basic styles of leadership: Telling, Selling, Participating and Delegating. Approximate duration: one hour.
"Be a Winner: Developing A Successful Scouting Report on Yourself"
Do you want to learn to be a successful individual? Do you want to find out what you can do to maximize your potential? Begin to develop the basis for the successful individual you can be by exploring the potential you already have. Approximate duration: one hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Participants will learn about the "Comfort Zone".
2. Participants will develop a list of their strengths and weaknesses.
3. Participants will learn the difference between "Want to's" and "Have to's"
